Introducing the Blurite Website

Welcome to our first blog post on the website!

We've sat on the website design and graphics for a long time now, and we thought it was time to start putting them to use. You may have seen ages ago some previews of the website we have been working on, but these have been scrapped entirely and recently the website has been created from scratch (using Vue and Nuxt.js, for those interested!).

Frontend development is not any of our strong points, so there will definitely be some weird glitches and behaviour here and there, but the website will continue to be improved and updated as time goes on. More pages will be added, and every page will be refined. As it stands, there is only a 'frontend', so you can't login or do anything cool like that (yet!).

We have a website backend which was started ages ago too, so it won't be long until the project is resurrected and integrated with the frontend. We plan to initially have a basic login/registration system and let Sponsors view and manage their reserved display names, but there probably won't be much more functionality until there is an official beta.

If you have any suggestions, feedback or ideas for the website, please let us know!

Blogs/Updates

As the name suggests, we won't just be posting content updates but also general blog posts about all sorts of things we find interesting. Some random examples are cool OSRS mechanics you didn't know about, interesting developer topics, or even random topics that we find interesting and want to put our thoughts out about.

Previously we posted all the Blurite updates on Discord, but going forward we are going to be moving them to the website where we can add much more detail and use better formatting than what is available on Discord. We will still link posts to Discord when they go live, and discussion surrounding updates will be held in regular Discord channels rather than threads per update.
